Dit is het nieuwe speeltje van Jon Olsson!
Jon Olsson, de bekende skiër, staat in autoland vooral bekend om zijn Audi RS6 DTM. Wie Jon al wat langer volgt weet dat hij een groot petrolhead is en eerder al een Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 Super Veloce in zijn bezit had.
Na de verkoop van zijn geliefde RS6, duurde het niet lang voordat hij alweer iets anders moois voor de deur had staan. Weer een LP670-4 Super Veloce? Nee dit is een Murciélago LP640! Daarbij komt dat hij deze auto al drie jaar in zijn bezit heeft… Hoe dat zit lees je hieronder:
I bought this car 3 years ago as I got a great offer to build it without crushing my finances.. Had a guy fly in from the UK as he wanted to build the car for free to get the PR, he seemed super professional and I had no reason not to trust him. 1 year later I had to pick the car up as he was bankrupt and had sold a lot of parts for the car in order to pay for rent. So a year was wasted and I had to pick up an incomplete car in a million pieces.
The only guy crazy to take on this puzzle was Önder at Select cars Syd. He has later told me that since he got the car totally disassembled in a million pieces he should never had taken the job as it was a nightmare trying to figure out what goes where as not a single screw was marked.
Took us about 2 years to finally get everything right, much thanks to a lot of the stuff that was made in the UK had to be remade. So I can easily say that this has been a nightmare build. It went from a great business opportunity to probably the most expensive Murcialago ever built. haha So I am sure glad that it came out the way it did! I have had both the LP 640 and the LP670 in the past, and I have to say that this is my favorite of the 3 as I built it ground up the way I wanted it!

Het heeft dus even geduurd maar het eindresultaat mag er zeker zijn! De LP640 met LP670-look ziet er fantastisch uit; de stickers op de banden staat ook verrassend goed op deze dikke Italiaan. En dan het geluid… Jon heeft een iPE Innotech Performacn Exhaust laten installeren en zoals je wellicht al weet, dat klinkt fantastisch! Check de video onderaan de pagina!
